Pooja Wood Industries, a reputed company specializing in wooden works, was finding a solution to construct their canteen for the factory labour. The solution had to be both Lightweight so that it does not add load to the old construction on top of which it was to be built and also provide respite to the workers from the Intense Heat of Rajasthan.
Insulation, being the primary concern since providing a comfortable and cool environment for lunch was necessary to rejuvenate the workers, because of this, use of tin shed was out of question. Also, the canteen was to be built on the roof of an existing building which was quite old and could not take the load of another floor of RCC Construction.
The Management was thus in a fix as to which material to use which can be both, Insulating and Lightweight at the same time.
Their search finally came to an end when they found out about Pronto Panels which fulfilled both of their requirements along with being extremely fast to construct with and providing immense savings in cost since these panels were pre painted and had no requirement for false ceilings.
The company opted for metal facing Roof and Wall Panels in ivory colour. The Wall PUF Panels come with a Tongue and Groove Interlocking joint which ensures that no dust or water leakage occurs and similarly, the Roof PUF Panels come with a Crown interlocking joint. This creates a rigid and sturdy structure which can last for years to come.
This strength is further enhanced by the top and bottom U Channels, on which the wall panels are fitted into and secured to the plinth below and roof panels at the top, with the help of silicone and screws. The edge of the roof is covered with metal casing to give a clean aesthetic finish to the project and also serve an additional purpose of draining off the rainwater falling from the roof.
The PUF Panels ensure that the canteen remains comfortable during the hot summer months as well as during the winters as it contains a PU Foam core which is known for its highly insulating properties. Also, the fact that it is lightweight compared to traditional construction materials ensures that it causes no damage to the older construction on top of which it is constructed.
